Dr. Margaret B. Wright, Vice President

Dr. Margaret B. Wright has been advocating for the educational rights of children since she moved to Pueblo in 2013. She has earned a PhD in educational research and policy analysis with a concentration in curriculum and instruction; a MSA in School Administration and a BA and MFA in Theatre Arts.

As an educator, she has served in a myriad of roles: college and community college instructor; education director/principal; teacher (high, middle and elementary schools); a core content teacher (English, Reading, Speech), Special Education (SPED-ESS teacher-gifted), fine arts teachers (theatre and dance), English Second Language (ESL) teacher, paraprofessional (hearing impaired), and substitute teacher; and as an educational consultant/advocate. She has provided professional development for teachers, paraprofessionals and school administrators. During her tenure as a school administrator, she served in several alternative educational settings: three juvenile prisons, a mental health hospital, medical hospital and a specialized Children’s Hospital for students with multiple disabilities.

She was trained as an AdvancED (SCAS CASI) Chair-National Certification as an AdvancED Quality Assurance Review Chair: certified chair for the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools, Council on Accreditation and School Improvement; trained to lead a quality assurance review team visit into any SACS CASI / AdvancED-member school. In addition, she holds certifications as a Colorado Certified Addiction Counselor II (CACII) and a Colorado Registered Psychotherapist. As a Pueblo small business owner, she is president/CEO of Collaborative Educational Supportive Services, LLC an educational/counseling firm.

She is proud to live and serve in Pueblo alongside her husband, Dr. Carl N. Wright, professor of accounting at CSU-Pueblo’s Hasan School of Business.
